Ad Astra Awarded City of Jacksonville, Disabled Services Division Contract 

Washington, District of Columbia – September 20, 2021.  

Ad Astra today announced that it has been awarded a new contract to provide Interpretation services to the City of Jacksonville, Florida, through their Procurement Division for The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department/Disabled Services Division. 

Ad Astra will be contracted to provide Signed Language interpreter services for Deaf, Blind and Hard of Hearing individuals for various city council and legislative meetings. Services rendered range from providing interpreting services for City Council, standing committees and budget hearings, city sponsored community events and functions, public service announcement by City officials and PSA’s during emergencies. 

Ad Astra’s Business Development Manager, Keith Perera, stated that “Ensuring Jacksonville’s vulnerable populations have access to high quality, effective interpretation services is our goal. Supporting their Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Deafblind, and Limited English proficient residents is an honor and privilege we are committed to deliver on. Providing American Sign language for residents during critical pandemic press events, community events and more is something of incredible importance to us.”
